چکیده
High harmonic generation (HHG) is a versatile technique for probing ultrafast electron dynamics. While HHG sensitive to the electronic properties of target, also depends on waveform laser pulse. As well known, (peak) positions, $\omega$, in high-harmonic spectrum can shift when carrier envelope phase (CEP), $\varphi$ varied. We derive formulae describing corresponding parametric dependencies CEP shifts; particular, we have transparent result shift, $d\omega/d\varphi = {-} 2 \bar{\mathfrak f}' \omega/\omega_0$, where $\omega_0$ describes fundamental frequency and $\bar{\mathfrak f}'$ characterizes chirp driving compare analytical formula full-fledged numerical simulations finding only 17 % average relative absolute deviation $d\omega/d\varphi$. Our fully consistent with experimental observations.

Carrier-envelope phase-dependent high harmonic generation in the water window using few-cycle infrared pulses
High harmonic generation (HHG) using waveform-controlled, few-cycle pulses from Ti:sapphire lasers has opened emerging researches in strong-field and attosecond physics. However, the maximum photon energy of attosecond pulses via HHG remains limited to the extreme ultraviolet region. Long-wavelength light sources with carrier-envelope phase stabilization are promising to extend the photon energ...
متن کاملThird-harmonic generation in disguise of second-harmonic generation revisited: role of thin-film thickness and carrier-envelope phase.
It has previously been reported that a peak at the spectral position of the second harmonic of an excitation laser can be generated in an inversion-symmetric medium in the regime of extreme nonlinear optics and that this peak may be exploited to measure the carrier-envelope phase of the excitation pulse. Here we revisit this phenomenon with regard to reverse engineering the carrier-envelope pha...
متن کاملCarrier-envelope phase stability of hollow fibers used for high-energy few-cycle pulse generation.
We investigated the carrier-envelope phase (CEP) stability of hollow-fiber compression for high-energy few-cycle pulse generation. Saturation of the output pulse energy is observed at 0.6 mJ for a 260 μm inner-diameter, 1 m long fiber, statically filled with neon. The pressure is adjusted to achieve output spectra supporting sub-4-fs pulses. The maximum output pulse energy can be increased to 0...
متن کاملGeneration of carrier-envelope-phase-stable 2- cycle 740-μJ pulses at 2.1-μm carrier wavelength
We produce carrier-envelope-phase-stable 15.7-fs (2-cycle) 740μJ pulses at the 2.1-μm carrier wavelength, from a three-stage optical parametric chirped-pulse amplifier system, pumped by an optically synchronized 49-ps 11-mJ Nd:YLF laser. A novel seed pulse spectral shaping method is used to ascertain the true amplified seed energy and the parametric superfluorescence levels. ©2008 Optical Socie...
متن کاملGas jet structure influence on high harmonic generation.
Gas jets used as sources for high harmonic generation (HHG) have a complex three-dimensional density and velocity profile. This paper describes how the profile influences the generation of extreme-UV light. As the position of the laser focus is varied along the jet flow axis, we show that the intensity of the output radiation varies by approximately three times, with the highest flux being obse...
